Do the young members know the Rule of the Society? Do they read and meditate upon it frequently? Do they try to ensure that its philosophy permeates every moment of their lives?

We admit that no all our members completely know the Rule. At this point, we need to put more effort to mediate upon it.
Most young members do not know the rule of the society because they do not have access to it while others are not encourage to have.
many of the younger members are familiar with it and understand ..in their lives and capture the essence of it. They do not however consciously go out of their way to meditate on it.They don't feel that they need to.
the youngers members do not know all the rules of the Society. However we learn quite a bit at our annual retreat.
The straightforward answer is NO. But they are in a process of learning them. At the national level we are studying the constitution and will send it to all the conferences to send the necessary amendments. We have published booklets carrying the history of SSVP in past also.
Yes. We have reading circles on the rule book and also on the life and work of St. Vincent de Paul, Frederic Ozanam and Sr. Rosalie. The youth are also asked to share their insights and how they are going to implement those insights in their lives. they are also well guided by the older members .
The young people know that the Rule exists, but this document is not used as a manual of study or way of operating. It is not often studied by the Junior conferences because there are always more 'pressing' issues to be dealt with in meetings. This year, however, it was used during an annual retreat in the Public relation committee.
